CAWG 2nd Annual Stream Cleanup Success!

posted Jun 27, 2010, 3:42 PM by Cornwall Watershed
Almost 30 residents and CAWG supporters showed up Saturday morning to clean the stream located along Kellow Drive and the Community Gardens area areas.  Approximately a 1/4 ton of trash was cleared from the stream area.

CAWG offers its thanks to:

- West Royalty Superstore for donations of hotdogs;
- Dawn Watson who prepared the cleanup flyers;
- Josh Beaton, CAWG summer student, for managing the cleanup on Kellow Dr.;
- Stephanie Cairns who managed the cleanup around the Community Gardens;
- Minister Ron MacKinley, Province of PEI and Councillor Marlene Hunt, Town of Cornwall; and
- All the town residents who took time from their busy Saturday morning.

The pictures show all the accumulated trash picked up Saturday and there remain larger items that will be picked up this week.

Great job to all who came out!

Regards,

Colin Cairns
